    SOAP 2.0 | Flowsheet Activities in the Charge Summary

    Article Summary

    Once activities are completed in the Flowsheets section, the Charge Summary will automatically populate with the related CPT® code, Minutes, and Units.

    Billable Procedures

    1. Click the check mark once your are finished documenting an activity. The Billable Procedures section will automatically populate. Enter the Minutes for each activity.

    2. Your Flowsheet activity information will automatically populate in the Charge Summary section with the CPT code and minutes associated with each procedure.

    Important:
    • Verify the appropriate number of units are calculated with the minutes billed for each activity.
    • Some activities require modifiers for PT use.
    • The Charge Summary defaults to 1 Unit unless the Medicare 8-Min Rule is applied.Timed Activity: Unit Calculations
    1. Timed Activity: Unit Calculations
      a. The number of units is calculated based on the Rule of 8s or 8-Minute Rule, depending on the Insurance Settings.
      b. If the patient has a primary and secondary insurance with different settings, the Payer Rules Company Setting will determine which rule is followed.
